From 24th to 26th September 2018, the Higher Education Students Loans and Grants Board (HESLGB) hosted the first Association for African Higher Education Financing Agencies (AAHEFA) International Conference at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. The theme of the conference was “Innovatively Financing Higher Education for the Jobs of tomorrow”.
The conference was aimed at bringing ideas and solutions aimed at improving higher education financing sector in Africa. The conference brought together various stakeholders from the following countries; Malawi, Zambia, Tanzania, Botswana, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Malaysia, Lesotho, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Namibia.
